Gonz’s love affair with music started in the 80s, back when the 80s were the thing. Hip-hop opened the door to DJing, and he’s never looked back. As a kid, he was already playing around with mixing – using his dad’s home video mixer to blend cassette tapes and radio tunes for family and friends. This early experimentation laid the foundation for Gonz’s deep music knowledge.

Straight out of high school, he joined PartyDisc in Sydney, spinning crowd-pleasers at parties. It wasn’t long before he developed his signature skill: knowing the crowd better than they know themselves. From forgotten classics to the newest bangers, he knows how to interpret the brief, deliver the goods from start to finish and adds his own herbs and spices to cook  musical treats all night.

But Gonz’s story isn’t just about music. He’s worn many hats, from retail and hospitality to serving in the military – all while DJing on the weekends. Oh, and he became a proud family man during that time too.
